On Friday night 31/1/25 the club held it's underage presentation night in Caislean Oir Hotel, Annagry.

As always, Caislean Oir provided the perfect setting for the event and a huge thanks must go to James, Michelle and staff for a great night πŸ‘Œ

Credit too to Siobhan McGonagle for the decor, DJ Mal for the tunes and Mary Bonner Rodgers for capturing the night on camera πŸŽˆπŸ•ΊπŸ“Έ

Sponsors of our underage teams were also recognised on the night as it is their generosity which allows us to get kids out on the pitch wearing the red and white so thanks to all πŸ‘

In the past season over 320 kids regularly played football with Keadue between u6 - u16. A phenomenal number and testimony to the hard work of club coaches and committee on driving club forward in recent years. The role of parents - sometimes overlooked - was also noted πŸ’ͺ

Given the numbers, the presentation evening was split into 2 sessions with session 1 covering u6-u10 and later session covering u12-u16.

At the u6-u10 session we remembered Declan Ward (RIP) who helped coach our u8s last season before his tragic passing and it was great to see Declan's son Che in attendance picking up his u8 medal.

Central to both sessions were tributes to Frankie Bosco (RIP) who in addition to his role as club chairman was a driving force behind fundraising activities and a coach to our u12 team. The gap that Frankie has left will never be filled but he would have loved seeing the crowds togged out in Keadue colours last night and I'm sure was looking down on all with pride. Thanks to Lisa, Sarah, Logan and Ryan for coming along and contributing to the night.

All presentations were very gratefully received by players of all age groups and it was great to have special guest on hand to present them. On the night we had Claire Diver (Finn Harps U19) and Emma Wallace (Finn Harps U17) - two great ambassadors for ladies football and fantastic role models for our young girls as to what can be achieved with the right attitude and application.

We also had Peter McGee and Brendan McCafferty - both senior Keadue Rovers players who have come through all age groups with the club and are evidence of the standards that can be reached coming through Keadue youth system.

Well done to all who received their medals/recognition last night - it really is a great time to be a part of Keadue Rovers and we look forward to another great season ahead in 2025.

Come on you gulls πŸ¦…βš½πŸŸ₯⬜
